it's over

it's over after 2 months and 10 days.. nearly 3 weeks of that struggling to find the problem, and the problem just lies with me.

when you were taking your O's i was already feeling very wrong about this.

i knew i took the first step but it was all because i wanted to try. and i knew you would give me the chance. i guess it didn't work out the way i wanted it to.

i'm sorry you had to become the 'rebound'. the whole problem started with me having thoughts of just 'making use of you' so that i had somebody to talk to. i already had you to talk to as a best friend.

i'm sorry you had to endure the 'coldness' from me all this while.. i've never wanted to cold. i just didn't know what to say.

it's not that i didn't want to be a good boyfriend. i wanted to, i tried to, but i felt i was doing it for the wrong girl.

it's not that you were a bad girlfriend. we were really fun together, but you just aren't the girl i've yet to discover.

it was entirely my fault for taking our friendship into the relationship level.

i'm sorry, best friend.

welcoming the lions home

Picture: The NEW PAPER

It was 6.15am when I decided with Frankie that we should meet earlier, as the Lions' flight will be landing at 6.50am, 20 minutes earlier than expected. So went a rout of SMS-ing and calls to and fro Shimin and Faris to meet earlier.

Reached Tanah Merah MRT just on time as Shimin and Frankie's train reached. Waited for Faris for a while until he told us to go first. 6.45am. Ah Min very nervous already!! lol.

"Faris where are you??"

Reached Changi Airport MRT at 7.05am, Ah Min ran all the way to Belt 33 while Frankie and I tried to catch up.. Hahahaha.

Chit-chatted and waited for the Lions to appear after their passports were checked. Not many people were aware of who were coming on this very normal Istanbul flight. Then Faris came. Only the 4 of us from KallangRoar and about twice as many people from DARE were there. Zzz..

The first to appear was Lionel Lewis...

The first of the Lions to wave to us was Shi Jiayi (The famous +1!), then as they prepared to come out, Noh Rahman and Hassan Sunny also waved to us.

Faris was busy collecting autographs from the Lions for his Football Weekly ASEAN Cup winning side poster, while Shimin and I focused on congratulating them. Hope they saw the KallangRoar.com on the jerseys! There IS another following other than DARE, and that's us!

Must be a wonderful feeling for Agu Casmir, Aleksandar Duric, Shariff Abdul Samat, Faizal Hamid and Hariss Harun as they experienced their first welcome home as Singapore National Team players (except for Agu, who was part of Tiger Cup 2005)

But the highlight of the day was definitely getting close to the man behind the team's success - Coach Mr. Radojko "Raddy" Avramovic. Never one to let the fans down as he obliged for a photo.

Ended off our trip to the Airport with a meal at McDonald's. Lionel and his wife were there too. He's probably feeling relieved to be back here in Singapore after the disastrous diarrhoea cases in Dushanbe.

Rounding my post off with the 20-strong Lions squad who returned today from Tajikistan:

Goalkeepers: Lionel Lewis, Hassan Sunny
Defenders: Precious Emuejeraye, Daniel Bennett, Faizal Hamid, Shariff Abdul Samat, Baihakki Khaizan, Mohamed Noh Rahman
Midfielders: Shahril Ishak, Shi Jiayi, Ridhuan Muhamad, Mustafic Fahrudin, John Wilkinson, Hariss Harun
Forwards: Agu Casmir, Aleksandar Duric, Noh Alam Shah, Fazrul Nawaz, Khairul Amri, Indra Sahdan Daud (Captain)

Well done Singapore, and KallangRoar will see you in Round 3.

what a (nearly) full week

monday 5 nov did some mixing and matching with some old and new clothes I have... tried the Sonny Crockett style which meant a blazer over a tshirt with long pants and no belt. still haven't got the loafers i want yet so can't go out without socks yet, and without the Ray-Ban Wayfarer style i seriously can't complete the look just yet.

Tuesday 6 nov went to Bedok Town in the afternoon for a meeting with OC. chit chat for a while before going to LY's place to return him his guitar.

Wednesday 7 nov went to Jalan Besar Stadium buy tickets for the Tajikistan game on Friday, then to KFC at Bedok Interchange to have a meeting with the other CIs.

FAS logo outside their office. how i wish i can bring this logo home..

ok, so the 8 nov training fell through due to showers and lightning in the morning. bad sign. spent the entire Thursday afternoon sleeping at home.

Friday 9 nov. went to Bedok Town in the morning for 08 workplan meeting and to clean up the npcc room. a lot of new and exciting things are in store for Bedok Town NPCC next year, as well as a reorganisation of the room into an 'office-like' environment.

the new npcc room arrangement, a work in progress.

later went to Bugis for dinner. ate at the newly renovated Food Junction on level 3. 2nd time eating there so far. the place is really posh at certain points. doesn't seem like a food court at all, more like a posh eating diner. oh yeah, and 1 noodle got a wonderful gift from me, besides his new nickname..

later we trooped down in our traditional RED towards the National Stadium for our event of the evening...... Singapore vs Tajikistan!

Aleksandar Duric proved us all wrong when he netted 2 goals to take us into the 2nd leg of the 2nd round with a 2-0 advantage. went home that night all logging into KR and praising the 37-year old striker. well done!!!

10 nov was a quiet affair at home. didn't go for HRC since i was too tired from all the shouting, jumping and screaming during the match the day prior. thought it was quite a good choice to stay home since i was called up by a ST reporter to ask about Aide Iskandar's sudden resignation.

stated what i feel, like it's about high time he retired so that he can give the younger players a chance, but also said that it was the real wrong timing for him to resign. imagine the squad's morale when he did it.

went to Punggol CC for training this morning, 11 nov. a bit disappointed the rest of KR didn't have our comments posted on the Sunday Times. only Faris' one made it!!!

alright back to training for today. Punggol CC field is seriously unplayable. why are there still goal posts for that poorly maintained field? went down to Ave 6 and found that our usual area was in a similar condition to the Punggol CC one.

we were almost confined to such a small space behind the basketball court when the usual drinks uncle came and told us about a field next to Buangkok MRT, so we went there and woo! the search is over!

headed for greener pastures

we played with a team who plays there regularly, and though we lost this game 4-1, it's still quite okay as most of us know where our standard lies and where are our best places to play on the pitch.

at Mr Hamdi's place

later in the evening met up to go to Mr Hamdi's place. quite great to see old classmates again after so long. went to Interchange after dispersing and found the MIAMI VICE movie up for rental. is it like a reward for my long week of hard work? whatever it is, i can finally get to watch this damn movie, no matter how poor the premise sounds!!

and i'm going to get down to watching it right now.

looking forward to tomorrow, it's going to be a free week (except for Thursday) until school resumes next week!

P.S. happy birthday Dario Simic and Ibrahim Ba!

in the air tonight

something's wrong. really wrong. i've got no drive to update my blog at all but this thing is kind of bugging me to death

i just don't know where the problem lies. but it's killing me, giving me a real tough fight in my head.
for or against? for or against? for or against? what do i do after that?

this problem will definitely be solved. it's just a matter of when and how it will be solved. and there are so many possible outcomes that i really need to find out how to steer it in the path of my desired outcome..

HRC in 5 hours. Area 17. still not asleep yet. but will be in 5 minutes time. ciao.
