SDU Hero - a 2007 tokuasia productions film

This is the press information to something I'm doing which will be released next year. Trying to include nearly everyone in TokuAsia, it's quite a monumental task to achieve. I hope that this would be great =) SDU Hero A 2007 TokuAsia Productions Film Opening Titles STORY When an SDU commander is shot dead during a high-profile operation, the unit's reputation drops several notches. Gale Yan, a Chief Inspector currently undergoing a 4-year attachment with the British SAS, is recalled immediately to Hong Kong to fill the duties of the deceased commander. On his return, he kicks out several SDU members, keeping only those who are up to his standards. One of the sacked SDU, Lion, meets up with a former SDU member, Sau, who was Gale's team-mate in the SDU seven years ago. Sau left the team after a mistake by Gale cost a colleague's life. The two recruit several disgruntled ex-SDU members into a renegade assassin team to execute revenge on Gale. Meanwhile, as all this is happening, a CID team led by veteran Chief Inspector Fong Chan Yung, uncovers an elaborate syndicated arms smuggling plot... anniversary dinner, makan fun & joy!

The TokuAsia dinner was last night, and man! It was one hell of an evening. I really enjoyed the dinner. Most of the sense of achievement comes from the one year of hard work in TokuAsia, as well as the few months of work in planning the dinner. Pity Huang couldn't make it at the last minute. The attendance was an unbelievable 22. Initially we only thought the maximum could be around 15 or 17. What surprised us most was the sudden influx of "I'm going" from various members and friends. PRE-DINNER Me working away on uploading the video to Guan Cheng's laptop When I reached Chinatown, first person I saw was Gareth, then Huang called and said he couldn't make it. So we rushed down to Clarke Quay to get Huang's laptop and Liwen's present. Haiz, sad ah, Ultraman got to work, and can't make it for the dinner. Then Gareth and I hurried down to CSC, we were late as we went to meet up with Huang last minute. Picked up Quanta along the way, and the three of us trooped down to CSC to find MY, Liwen, WJ and Kai already there. Thankfully the restaurant allowed us to "book in" earlier. JY came later, and WJ, MY and myself went to pick up the cake. Nbcb!! The ATM machine played me out. I wanted to draw $60 but the machine returned me my card without the money, plus it showed my account balance as $40++!! Basket!! I would have kicked the machine if not for the long line of people waiting behind. Took the $40 and made our way to Majestic Polar Cakes grumbling all the way. When we returned, Guan Cheng and Adam had already arrived. Guan Cheng and I went to the taxi stand to wait for Katrina, but returned to the restaurant soon after she informed us that the taxi driver had bluffed her. Yimian came looking like a trishaw rider, and so we started off the night, first with an intro by JY, and the speech by MY. JY finds the wall very interesting? PRESENTATION OF AWARDS Then it was the presentation of awards to the moderators: JY, WJ, Quanta, Liwen and Nelson, with Huang's award being held since he wasn't around. Congratulations guys! You have worked hard for the past year! THE VIDEO PRESENTATION A video to commemorate events in the first year of TokuAsia's existence, from 16 November 2005 to 16 November 2006, as well as to highlight some of the more prominent fanfiction in the forum since its inception till September 2006. Guan Cheng went to meet Katrina during the video presentation. She has grown taller, or so she says, but I believe its her heels. XD. We had the cutting of the cake, but not before the committee took a group shot. The cake was delicious (Ya, I picked it, how could it not be?) Me, JY, Liwen, Gareth, MY, Quanta, WJ and Nelson The TPC Elders. Jiahua, Meng Yeow, Gareth, Myself. Let me take this moment to remember #TPC, the IRC channel formed by MY (Channel Owner), Gareth, Jiahua and myself (Channel Ops). This channel eventually evolved into TokuAsia, the forum you see today. We were lucky that we could finally contact Jiahua before this monumental event, so that we could reunite as the true founders of this forum. =) DINNER MOST of us had the Rosti Potato with root beer. The root beer tasted damn good, its from Bundaberg. It cost $3.50 there but it was well worth it (the thing costs $1.95 from 7-Eleven, an even more "worth it" price). Yimian getting shot by Katrina and Liwen As usual, Yimian was at it again, shooting everybody... But..hahaha, yesterday was different. He ended up becoming the one who got shot most, by the two girls, Katrina and Liwen. It was extremely funny.. LOL. I find it worth to have bought a drink for Katrina, because she comes and shoots Yimian for us. LOL. Me, Guan Cheng and Katrina. 01G3!! Though I'm not one already..=( Root beer can make David drunk!! Me telling some crap story to those around the admin table after Katrina left. I shan't say what it is. =P Queuing up to pay for our food. We decided to leave at around 9.30pm. I spent a total of $12.95. Not bad really, considering that $12.95 compromises of my own Rosti Potato, root beer and Katrina's Snapple. I initially thought I would be spending $20++. POST-DINNER After dinner we trooped down to City Hall, talking and laughing. I was chatting with Liwen about some really funny stuff (Aha, hahaha LOL). I don't want to say what it was lah, but she left when we reached the Battery Road entrance to Raffles Place MRT. Gave us quite a shock, but ok lah. Then Guan Cheng took his own picture at Victoria Concert Hall. Sadly David didn't follow us , and went back to his shop (although ironically he was the one who suggested we go to Esplanade). Six Ultra Brothers. Jack, Seven, Ace, Ultraman, Zoffy and Tarou. TokuAsia Deunamists "Dua!!!" "Emergency, Dekaranger!!" the three leading men of Singapore's Special Police Dekaranger unit. We're still on 24hr standby even though we work 5 days a week. =| The 15 survivors from the initial 22, posing against a backdrop featuring City Hall and the Supreme Court. Is this a picture of great significance? That TokuAsia will be big in Singapore? Let's see ^^ AFTER-THOUGHTS A pity many people can't make it for this dinner. Huang, Jace, and most of the more prominent overseas members like Michel, Scott, Dennis, Jim and the second, though we really had a lot of fun and laughter. It will be the most memorable dinner ahead. When will we have a dinner like this again? An X'mas dinner exclusively for the committee perhaps? ^^~ And, bloody hell... BUNDABERG ROOT BEER FREAKING ROCKS!!!!!

tokuasia's 1st anniversary!!

I designed this logo so I should be proud ^^ today, 16 November 2006, is the first anniversary of TokuAsia, a forum I set up jointly with Meng Yeow, Jace and Gareth. for those past 1 year, we have been quite fruitful in our development as a fanfic forum, as well as a general Tokusatsu forum. Many good years ahead for TokuAsia!!! wan sui!! There will be a dinner this Saturday. It will be a formal dinner, as well as the premiere of the 1st Anniversary Celebration Video. The details are as follows: Date: 18th November Venue: Vil'age - The Restaurant In A Village China Square Central Marsh & McLennan Centre, #B1-26 Time: 1830 hours And because it is TokuAsia's birthday, here it is, the TokuAsia advertisement from a few months back...credits go to Huang.
